if you are formatting your PC and want all your contacts to stay intact.. follow these steps :
( works only if you sync with outlook ) ::
1. open your outllok.
2. after that click on contacts , you will see all your contacts in there.
3. go to file>import/export>then choose export to a file .
4. copy to any file using the CVS( comma separated values) winddows options.
5. save on a location that you’ll not format.
6. format your PC.
7. install outlook again.
8. go to file>import/export > import from a file and select the saved file.
9. all your contacts will come back.
10. open itunes.. and sync.
